Fun activities in the summer can boost learning

In Ontario the summer break is usually 9 to 10 weeks and this break from school and regular routines can set the child back in September. There are lots of things that you can do to have fun with your child and help them maintain or improve important skills in literacy and numeracy, or social communication.

Articles provide tips and suggestions for activities that families can enjoy and that will help children with school success.

A little about Alison

As the mother of two girls, one with cerebral palsy, I have been advocating in the school system for almost 25 years. I have a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Geography and never expected to become so involved with the school system and supports for students with disabilities.
